Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Kazem Jabr Al-Jubouri, Respected President of Al-Qadisiyah University, and under the supervision of Respected Prof. Dr. Mounir Abdel-Amir Abdel-Fatlawy. The College of Veterinary Medicine, Al-Qadisiyah University, and in the hall of Professor Dr. Jawad Majeed Al-Obaidi, held a scientific symposium entitled (The Reformist Dimension in the Revolution of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and its effects on the peoples). Muhammad Abd al-Jari, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs and Membership of Prof. Dr. Israa Najm Abdullah, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs.
The symposium included the following topics:
1- Introducing Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, as a man of reform through his stances against the Umayyad tyranny.
2- The impact of Imam Hussein’s revolution, peace be upon him, on the oppressed and revolting peoples for their freedom.
The seminar aimed to:
1- Highlighting the important points of reform in society
2- The importance of dealing with transparency and the need to combat and reject corruption and deviation.
The seminar recommended:
1- Increasing cultural activities that strengthen the relationship with Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in his revolution against corruption through seminars and exhibitions, and involving students in such activities.
2- The necessity of reviewing the life and biography of Imam Al-Hussein, peace be upon him, with an accurate and analytical review, in order to derive from his blessed life, which was filled with positions of reform.
