Professor Dr. Haider Abdel Kadhim Al-Zamili, a lecturer in the Physiology and Pharmaceuticals branch in our college, chaired a committee to discuss the thesis of the master’s student (Khadija Riah Mohsen) in the Department of Life Sciences in the College of Education at Al-Qadisiyah University, tagged (The effect of kerisin on some physiological and histological parameters in white male rats exposed to stress. Alcoholic oxidative stress) where the student discussed the effect of the kericin compound in alleviating oxidative stress resulting from ethanol by measuring a set of physiological parameters such as liver enzymes ALT, AST, ALP and pancreatic function indicators such as Lipase and Amylase enzymes.

And indicators of oxidation status and antioxidants such as

GSH,SOD,CAT,MDA

In addition to histological sections of the liver and pancreas, the student was awarded a master’s degree in life sciences after extensive discussion by the committee.
