While Going through the big battle that our country is striving against the terrorists, the College of Veterinary Medicine / Al-Qadisiyah University held a seminar on combating terrorist ideology.
The aim of the seminar is to get our society specially young people ideologically protected against terrorist ideology.
Summary :
During this seminar, three topics were discussed:
– The first topic: the emergence of terrorist thoughts and its historical origins. This topic was presented by: Dr. Ali Abdul Roumi, a teacher at the College.
– The second topic: reviewing the Iraqi legislation to combat terrorism and eliminate it, which had been addressed by Mohammed Abdul Gerry, a Teacher at the College.
– The third top: the causes of extremism and methods of prevention. This topic was introduced by Asst. Prof. Abbas Fadel Daham, a teacher at the College.
This symposium came out with several recommendations, and the most important points are:
1- Prevent the printing and circulation of books that incite terrorism and extremism in all of its forms.
2 – Continuing to enact laws and legislation that limit terrorist thoughts and behaviors.
3. Implementing social justice and developing educational curricula to serve the fight against terrorist ideology.
4 – Holding seminars and workshops that educate young people against these thoughts.
The seminar was attended by a large group of teachers, employees, and students. The seminar was held in the hall of Dr. Jawad Al-Obeidi.
