The Department of Internal and Preventive Veterinary Medicine at the College of Veterinary Medicine / University of Qadisiyah held a seminar entitled “Quorum Sensing and Biofilm”.
The workshop aim was to explain the importance of Quorum Sensing and Biofilm.
Summary :
1. Physiological molecular composition of these two systems and their work.
2. The history of these systems.
3- The scientific methods for extracting and the working of these system inhibitors.
Results :
These systems are of great importance in animal and human diseases and can be inhibited using materials extracted from bacteria and other marine animals.
Recommendations:
To conduct many studies to study these systems and their inhibitors because of the importance in controlling bacterial diseases in humans, animals, and various environmental niches.
The lecture was given by Ali Hassan Daghir Janabi, instructor from the Department of Internal and Preventive Medicine in the College. The workshop was held in The Hall of Jwad Al-Obaidi.
